7th Circ. Upholds Kraft's Injunction Against Cracker Barrel

Law360, New York (November 14, 2013, 6:35 PM EST) -- The Seventh Circuit affirmed, in Kraft Foods Group Inc.'s underlying trademark suit, a preliminary injunction to block restaurant chain Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. from selling branded food products in grocery stores, saying Thursday that consumers could easily confuse the two companies' lines.

Keeping in place an Illinois judge's July injunction against CBOCS, the Seventh Circuit said that the similarities between the logos for its new meat product line and for Kraft's long-standing Cracker Barrel cheese products was too great and likely to cause significant...
