Would-Be Miami Beach Hotel Buyers Sue Over $5M Deposit

Law360, New York (November 15, 2013, 6:53 PM EST) -- Two Pennsylvania hotel companies on Tuesday sued two Marriott franchisees operating boutique hotels in Miami Beach, demanding the return of a $5 million deposit after an agreement to purchase the hotels fell through.

HHLP Blue Moon Associates LLC and HHLP Winter Haven LLC filed the suit in Florida state court against the hotel owners and 10 other unknown defendants saying they breached their purchase and sale agreement for the hotels when they refused to return the plaintiffs' deposit after terms of the agreement were not met....
