Deloitte, Technicians Reach $1.5M Deal To End OT Suit

Law360, New York (November 18, 2013, 4:16 PM EST) -- Deloitte LLP on Friday agreed to pay $1.5 million to settle lawsuit brought in New York federal court by a putative class of information technology support technicians accusing the accounting firm of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act by stiffing them on overtime compensation. 

The settlement ends an April 2012 lawsuit by technician Michelle German filed on behalf of both a nationwide class of Deloitte tech workers as well as a separate class of similar New York-based employees alleging violation of state labor laws. The deal...
