2nd Staten Island Area Opts For Post-Sandy Mass Buyout

Law360, New York (November 18, 2013, 5:45 PM EST) -- New York State on Monday said a second neighborhood along the eastern, ocean-facing coast of Staten Island had opted to jump into Gov. Andrew Cuomo's post-Hurricane Sandy buyout program, a move that adds as many as 129 properties to the initiative designed to pay people to leave flood-prone areas.
