USPTO Plans To Expand Operations In Silicon Valley

Law360, New York (November 19, 2013, 5:05 PM EST) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office announced plans on Tuesday to open a permanent office in Silicon Valley and to hire new Patent Trial and Appeal Board judges along with dozens of new patent examiners to staff the new location — additions the agency hopes will help cut down on its backlog of patent applications.
