Ill. Marriage Equality Bill Signed Into Law

Law360, Los Angeles (November 20, 2013, 7:58 PM EST) -- Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn signed legislation Wednesday making Illinois the 16th state in the U.S. to embrace full marriage equality by permitting all couples to receive the rights and protections of marriage.

Earlier this month, the state House of Representatives voted to approve the marriage equality bill that passed the Senate earlier this year, sending it to Quinn, who had vowed to sign it.
