Lance Armstrong Settles $3M Acceptance Insurance Suit

Law360, New York (November 20, 2013, 8:50 PM EST) -- Lance Armstrong has settled a $3 million lawsuit brought against him by Nebraska-based Acceptance Insurance in Texas state court, one day before he was scheduled to testify in a deposition on his use of performance-enhancing drugs, an attorney for the insurer said Wednesday.

Acceptance sued Armstrong in Travis County Court in February, weeks after he publicly admitted to doping during his racing years, seeking the return of $3 million in bonuses it paid him for Tour de France victories that have since been stripped away. The...
