Luxury Rental Site Files $1.5M Data Loss Suit

Law360, New York (November 22, 2013, 6:03 PM EST) -- Luxury home rental site operator Villa Trader on Wednesday hit online host Rackspace, which had supported its accommodation services site Villuxe.com, with a $1.5 million suit over data loss.

In a complaint filed in New York federal court, Villa Trader, which said its Villuxe.com website took books for roughly $1,500 a night, argued that it has been out of business since Sept. 14 because of the data loss, for which Rackspace has offered conflicting information.
