Delphi Investors Allege Fraud, Want Deloitte Out

Law360, New York (January 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Shareholders of struggling auto parts maker Delphi Corp. are demanding that the company fire accounting firm Deloitte & Touche for past accounting irregularities.

A judge has authorized a deposition to investigate the investors’ claims.

Although he granted the shareholders’ request for an investigation into their complaint, Judge Robert Drain denied a shareholder motion to turn over documents regarding past Deloitte audits of the company.
