FilmOn X Slams PBS Station's Copyright Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (November 22, 2013, 8:00 PM EST) -- In the latest salvo in its ongoing battle with over-the-air television networks, online TV streaming service FilmOn X asked an Illinois federal judge Friday to declare it has not infringed the copyrights of a Chicago-based PBS licensee by retransmitting the station's programs over the Internet. 

FilmOn asserted in a complaint for declaratory judgment that it has not infringed Window to the World Communications Inc.'s copyrights, arguing its technology only enables private performances of copyrighted material.
