Apple Awarded Judgment In IPhone, IPad Data Leak MDL

Law360, Los Angeles (November 26, 2013, 4:35 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Monday entered judgment in favor of Apple Inc. in a class action brought by a group of iPhone and iPad users who said their devices leaked personal data to third parties, holding that the plaintiffs lacked standing to pursue their claims.

The decision comes after Apple urged the court in September to deny class certification to the plaintiffs, saying they can’t represent the class because their information was never compromised. Monday’s decision finished off the remaining claims in a multidistrict case...
