Verizon Asks DC Circ. To Knock Down FCA Appeal

Law360, Washington (November 26, 2013, 7:30 PM EST) -- Verizon Communications Inc. on Tuesday asked the D.C. Circuit not to revive a qui tam relator's second False Claims Act suit accusing the company of fraudulent billing practices, saying the case was virtually similar to his prior case, which ended with Verizon paying a $93.5 million settlement.
