MetLife Junk Faxes Flouted TCPA Opt-Out Rules, Suit Says

Law360, Los Angeles (November 27, 2013, 3:33 PM EST) -- A Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. agency sent junk faxes without the required opt-out notices to at least 40 people in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, according to a putative class action filed Tuesday in California federal court.

Named plaintiff Richard Cadenasso claims he received an advertisement for MetLife insurance without his consent and believes the MetLife agency is continuing to send unsolicited faxes against TCPA requirements.
