Bankruptcy Judge Names Calpine Creditors' Committee

Law360 (January 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The creditors’ committee for financially strapped California utility provider Calpine has been named and includes HSBC, Wilmington Trust, Acadia Power Partners, Franklin Advisors, SPO Partners, Amerada Hess and Transcanada Pipelines.

The committee will act as a fiduciary for the rest of the company’s creditors, selecting bankruptcy counsel, analyzing the company’s financial affairs and advising any decisions the company might make outside of its normal course of business.
