Ecuador Asks 9th Circ. To Stop Chevron's Email Subpoenas

Law360, Los Angeles (December 2, 2013, 8:21 PM EST) -- Ecuador urged the Ninth Circuit on Friday to overturn a decision allowing Chevron Corp. to subpoena the identities of 39 anonymous nonparties in the oil giant's New York racketeering suit over a $19 billion pollution judgment, saying Chevron seeks to trample the privacy rights of Ecuadorean citizens.
