Viking Hit With Class Suit In NJ Over Refrigerator Defect

Law360, New York (December 3, 2013, 2:42 PM EST) -- New Jersey consumers have hit appliance maker Viking Range LLC and parent company The Middleby Corp. with a putative class action over allegedly defective door hinges on certain Viking refrigerators that they say put users in harm's way.

In a Nov. 27 complaint in Morris County Superior Court, two couples target 11 Viking refrigerator model numbers and cite recalls that the U.S. Consumer Safety Product Commission announced in 2009 and this year.
