NYC Real Estate Market Roars, With No End In Sight

Law360, New York (December 3, 2013, 7:54 PM EST) -- Real estate attorneys say the New York City real estate market has been "on fire" this year, especially in the third and fourth quarters, with deal volume and prices skyrocketing to prerecession levels that practitioners don't expect to wane anytime soon.

Surveys from various brokerages show that certain neighborhoods are outperforming others — Lower Manhattan is leading in office leasing, for example — and that some asset classes, specifically multifamily, are seeing a bit of a slowdown. But overall, business is booming, attorneys say.
