Air Force Awards Northrop Grumman $81M For Modernization

Law360, Los Angeles (December 3, 2013, 8:13 PM EST) -- The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman Corp. $81 million for the engineering and manufacturing development phase of the Air and Space Operations Center's weapon system modernization program, the defense contractor announced Tuesday.

Northrop was awarded options exercised on the contract first announced in March 2012, when the Air Force selected the company for the program, which has a potential value of $504 million over eight years if all options are exercised.
