Ex-Atty Gets Probation For Role In $10M Kickback Scheme

Law360, New York (December 6, 2013, 4:09 PM EST) -- A former Rhode Island attorney and executive at defunct defense contractor Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow Inc. on Friday was sentenced to five years of probation for her role in a 15-year, $10 million U.S. Navy kickback and bribery scheme.

Mary O'Rourke, who had pled guilty to theft of government property, was also ordered to pay $478,000 in restitution, jointly with two other co-defendants, a $4,000 fine and must spend nine months of her sentence in home confinement, according to her attorney, William P. Devereaux of Pannone...
