NYC Atty Halted From Securities Work Amid Fraud Probe

Law360, New York (December 6, 2013, 7:16 PM EST) -- A New York state judge has temporarily barred a Brooklyn attorney and two condominium developers he represents from participating in condominium- and securities-related work in New York during a suit against them over alleged construction defects in their new development, the state attorney general said Friday.

Judge Joan B. Lobis on Wednesday handed an order temporarily barring attorney Harold Gruber and condominium developers Joseph Scarpinito and Shiraz Sanjana from continuing work in the areas, and asking them to set aside the $3.2 million in homebuyer deposits...
