Ex-Troutman Atty Admits Lying In Nursing Home Buyout Suit

Law360, New York (December 11, 2013, 8:01 PM EST) -- A former Troutman Sanders LLP partner pled guilty Wednesday to lying during a deposition about a billion-dollar nursing home buyout deal that was part of a bitter civil lawsuit with real estate developer Rubin Schron, the Manhattan district attorney said.

Leonard Grunstein, who left Troutman Sanders in November 2009, admitted that he lied in a January 2011 deposition about a $100 million loan for a 2004 leveraged buyout deal with Schron for Mariner Health Services Inc., a nursing home company.
