Aereo Won't Fight Networks' Bid For Supreme Court Review

Law360, New York (December 12, 2013, 6:36 PM EST) -- Aereo Inc. said Thursday that it wouldn't oppose a bid by the nation's broadcasters for U.S. Supreme Court review of the company's controversial online television service, saying it wanted final resolution to avoid the networks' "wasteful war of attrition."

Aereo, as well as copycat service FilmOn X, use banks of tiny antennas to retransmit individual TV signals directly to individual users, a quirky system they claim allows them to relay the content without paying copyright royalties. Unsurprisingly, the big four networks have sued them in courts...
