NJ Law Firm Escapes Malpractice Suit Over RE Deals

Law360, New York (December 13, 2013, 3:38 PM EST) -- A New Jersey appeals court tossed a lawsuit Friday against law firm Spector & Dimin, ruling that a trial court erred when a jury found that an attorney who represented family members in real estate transactions had engaged in malpractice and breached his fiduciary duty.

A three-judge Appellate Division panel reversed a $226,321 judgment that had been levied against the firm in February 2012, and dismissed the plaintiffs' suit with prejudice.
