China Sees 'Substantial' Proof In Qualcomm Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (December 13, 2013, 3:51 PM EST) -- A top Chinese antitrust official has claimed the government has "substantial evidence" against Qualcomm Inc. in its investigation into the wireless technology giant, Chinese state media reported Thursday.

On Wednesday, Xu Kunlin, who heads China's National Development and Reform Commission department of price supervision, said the watchdog had found "substantial evidence against" the company, the China Daily reported.

Qualcomm recently disclosed that it was being investigated by the NRDC under the country's anti-monopoly law, but said so far it had not been formally accused of violating...
