Ford, Cabot, Others Settle With EPA Over Superfund Cleanup

Law360, Chicago (December 17, 2013, 5:27 PM EST) -- Ford Motor Co., Cabot Corp. and several other manufacturers have settled with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on a plan to complete the cleanup of a Superfund site in New Jersey, according to court documents filed Monday.

The EPA filed a consent decree in New Jersey federal court detailing how the companies that allegedly disposed of hazardous waste at the Evor Phillips Leasing site in Middlesex County will tackle remediation of the groundwater beneath the site, the third and final stage of a 20-year cleanup effort....
