Barnes & Thornburg Catches Howrey IP Star

Law360, New York (March 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Midwest powerhouse Barnes & Thornburg has snagged an intellectual property star from Howrey LLP, netting Gerald O. Sweeney, Jr. in a bid to beef up its intellectual property ranks in Chicago.

“We are delighted to have Gerry join us in Chicago, adding to the rapidly growing capacity of that important office to handle major intellectual property matters for our clients,” Donald E. Knebel, co-chairman of the firm's intellectual property department, said in a statement Monday.
