AirAsia X Places $6B Airbus Order For 25 Planes

Law360, New York (December 18, 2013, 6:20 PM EST) -- Long-haul airline AirAsia X said Wednesday it has ordered 25 new A330-300 planes from Airbus SA, the largest single purchase AirAsia has made for the planes, in a deal valued at up to $6 billion based on current market prices for A330-300s.

AirAsia X, an affiliate of AirAsia Group and one of the largest airline customers in the world, made the purchase as part of a massive expansion plan in the Asia-Pacific region.
