Pa. State Sen. To Float Internet Gaming Ban

Law360, New York (December 19, 2013, 6:23 PM EST) -- Following attempts in recent years by its neighbors including New Jersey, New York and Delaware to expand their gambling offerings, a Pennsylvania state legislator on Wednesday announced plans to introduce a bill that would ban Internet gaming.

Sen. Mike Stack, D-Philadelphia, said allowing online gambling posed a significant risk for Pennsylvania’s economy by creating the potential for a drop in revenue realized at brick-and-mortar casinos that have opened throughout the state in the last decade.
