Texas Ex-Mayor Gets 3 1/2 Years In $100M Kickback Scandal

Law360, Houston (December 19, 2013, 3:26 PM EST) -- A former West Texas mayor was slapped with a 42-month prison sentence in Texas federal court Thursday for his role in a kickback scheme designed to steer $100 million in government health insurance contracts to a subsidiary of Access Plans USA Inc.
