Budget Deal No Cure For Sequester Blues, DOD Says

Law360, New York (December 19, 2013, 3:34 PM EST) -- The Department of Defense and the Aerospace Industries Association on Thursday praised Congress for passing a two-year budget and restoring some much-needed stability to defense spending, but both emphasized the need for further action to stop sequestration from disrupting budgets after 2015. 

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said the budget deal, which mitigates sequestration by adding $21 billion to DOD accounts in 2014 and $10 billion in 2015, would help reverse the sharp cutbacks in training and maintenance that resulted from the first round of the sequestration...
