NAACP Seeks To Accelerate Lender Bias Suit

Law360, New York (March 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The NAACP is seeking to fast-track a class action against CitiMortgage and more than a dozen other lenders that alleges the financial giants discriminated against black customers by requiring them to pay higher prices for subprime loans than their white counterparts.

On Friday, lawyers for the NAACP filed papers in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California to get the wheels in motion, hoping for a speedy resolution to the racial bias litigation, according to plaintiffs' counsel Kabateck Brown Kellner LLP.
