Rick's Cabaret Stripped Dancers Of Wages, FLSA Suit Says

Law360, New York (December 20, 2013, 5:04 PM EST) -- In one of the biggest suits yet to join the rising wave of pay-practices litigation against strip clubs across the country, Rick's Cabaret International Inc. was sued in Florida on Thursday by a proposed class of workers who say the chain didn't pay them “a single penny” during their tenure in its 23 clubs.

According to lead plaintiffs Jaszmann Espinosa and Stephanie Alverio, Rick's and CEO Eric Langan misclassified them and at least 300 others as independent contractors and tricked them into paying fees to work...
