Vitol, Idemitsu Duck Puerto Rico's MTBE Claims

Law360, New York (January 2, 2014, 1:51 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Monday cut loose Dutch energy trading giant Vitol SA and a unit of Japanese oil refiner Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. from Puerto Rico’s suit seeking compensation for alleged groundwater contamination from tainted gasoline they handled, finding the claims time-barred.
