NJ Boardwalk Builder Hit With Wage, OT Claims

Law360, New York (January 2, 2014, 3:14 PM EST) -- A contractor behind the reconstruction of the Seaside Heights, N.J., boardwalk following Superstorm Sandy faces a proposed representative action for allegedly failing to pay workers the prevailing wage.

Plaintiffs Fredy Beza and Angel Martinez, carpenters who both reside in Pennsylvania, want a representative action for workers under the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act against Jamali Developers LLC or, alternatively, a class action, according to the suit in Middlesex County Superior Court.
