GE Snags $572M Navy Engine Support Contract

Law360, New York (January 3, 2014, 5:05 PM EST) -- General Electric has secured a $572.5 million contract from the U.S. Navy for repair, replacement and program support of engine components used in Boeing Co.’s F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter jets and EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft, the U.S. Department of Defense said Thursday.

The three-year performance-based logistics contract is for 17 components of GE’s F414 afterburning turbofan engine and is expected to be completed by December 2016, according to the DOD.
