Calif. Real Estate Investors Cop To Auction Bid-Rigging

Law360, New York (January 3, 2014, 5:57 PM EST) -- Three real estate investors in northern California agreed Thursday to plead guilty to conspiring to rig bids and mail fraud at local public real estate foreclosure auctions, bringing the total guilty pleas in the U.S. Department of Justice case to 43.

Prosecutors filed felony charges against Rudolph Silva, Thomas Bishop and Leslie Gee for conspiring not to bid against one another at auctions in Contra Costa County in California from 2008 to 2011.
