US Blocks Turkish Co.'s Plan To Ship GE Jet Engines To Iran

Law360, New York (January 6, 2014, 2:58 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce on Friday revoked a Turkish company's export privileges after determining that the business planned to send to Iran two General Electric Co. commercial jet engines without permission.

An order signed by David W. Mills, assistant secretary of Commerce for export enforcement, temporarily denied the export privileges of Turkey-based 3K Aviation Consulting & Logistics after Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security uncovered evidence that the company's plans to ship two GE aircraft engines to Iran would violate U.S. export control regulations....
