Brocade Insider Trading Case Survives Dismissal Bid

Law360, New York (January 7, 2014, 8:32 PM EST) -- A Manhattan federal judge on Tuesday refused to toss a criminal insider trading case connected to a $3 billion acquisition by networking company Brocade Communications Systems Inc., saying the case's ties to New York are strong enough to allow the case to go forward there.

U.S. District Judge Robert P. Patterson Jr. denied the motion from defendants David Riley and Matthew Teeple to throw out the case on venue grounds.
