Lockheed Wins $84M Navy Contract For Training Rounds

Law360, New York (January 8, 2014, 5:06 PM EST) -- Lockheed Martin Corp. said Wednesday it had been awarded an $84.5 million contract from the United States Navy to produce training rounds for the company's laser-guided bombs, which will enable the U.S. Navy to train its members without wasting operational bombs.

According to a statement from the defense contractor, the contract will have the company providing the U.S. Navy with enhanced laser-guided training rounds for the company's Paveway II series of bombs, as well as shipping containers, logistics and product support.
