GAO Rejects Protest Of $334M Aviation Maintenance Contract

Law360, New York (January 8, 2014, 4:29 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has rejected URS Federal Services Inc.'s protest of a $334 million aviation maintenance contract awarded to rival DynCorp International Inc, saying the U.S. Army's request for proposal evaluation was proper.

DynCorp had bid on the project along with URS and one other company. The Army had selected DynCorp's $334 million proposal over URS' $302 million bid on the basis of past performance and engineering know-how, rather than just price, the GAO said in its Dec. 23 decision.
