Maryland's DOT Short-Lists 4 Finalists For $2.2B Railway

Law360, New York (January 9, 2014, 12:55 PM EST) -- Maryland's Department of Transportation has shortlisted four contractors competing to be the state's partner on the planned $2.2 billion Purple Line metro in Montgomery and Prince George counties, the department said Wednesday.

Maryland Purple Line Partners, Maryland Transit Connectors, Purple Line Transit Partners and Purple Plus Alliance will bid for the 16-mile railway, which will run east to west inside the Beltway, have 21 stations and connect to Metrorail's orange, green and red lines. Each finalist is a consortium of two to four developers.
