Ex-SAC Manager Martoma Was Tossed From Harvard Law

Law360, New York (January 9, 2014, 7:37 PM EST) -- Former SAC Capital Advisors LP portfolio manager Mathew Martoma was expelled from Harvard Law School for falsifying transcripts he used in clerkship applications, according to documents unsealed Thursday, the eve of his trial for allegedly trading on inside information about an Alzheimer's medication.

Harvard Law dismissed Martoma in September 1999, after finding that he had sent phony transcripts with inflated grades to 23 judges while in search of a clerking job, defense documents said.
