Florida Dems Tout $10.10 Minimum Wage Bills

Law360, Los Angeles (January 9, 2014, 7:47 PM EST) -- Florida Democrats on Wednesday pushed their plan to raise the state’s minimum wage to $10.10 for all workers, eliminating the lower wage allowed for tipped employees.

State Sen. Dwight Bullard, D-Cutler Bay, and State Rep. Cynthia Stafford, D-Opa Locka, introduced their bills in December but held a press conference on Wednesday, the 50th anniversary of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s State of the Union speech announcing his “war on poverty.”
