High Court Snubs Challenge To Calif. Medicaid Cuts

Law360, Washington (January 13, 2014, 5:27 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to consider a challenge to a Ninth Circuit ruling that left untouched a 10 percent Medicaid payment cut for certain California health care providers.

The high court denied certiorari to Managed Pharmacy Care and other companies, which had claimed in a petition to the court that the Ninth Circuit erred last year in accepting a decision by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services allowing California’s reimbursement reduction for pharmacies and providers of nonemergency medical transportation.
