Disney's Web Unit Hit With Employment Class Action

Law360, New York (March 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Walt Disney's Internet unit has been hit with a proposed class action by one of its financial analysts, alleging that he and others in his position were misclassified under the Fair Labor Standards Act and denied overtime pay.

Jerry Parks, a financial analyst for Walt Disney Internet Group, filed the suit on Feb. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The company systematically forced him and other employees to work more than 40 hour per week, or eight hours per day,...
