Calif. Appeals Court Again Denies Bid For UC Regents Docs
Law360, New York (January 15, 2014, 1:47 PM EST) -- A California appeals court on Tuesday said it won't reconsider its December decision not to force the University of California to turn over confidential financial documents from two venture capital firms to news agency Reuters America LLC.
The court denied a motion for rehearing filed by Reuters, which asked the court to reconsider its order reversing the judgment by the Alameda County Superior Court in Reuters' favor. The Dec. 19 order vindicated the university's position that the documents Reuters requested from private equity firms Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers LLC were not "public records" under the law....
