2nd Circ. Won't Revive Bloomberg Director's Bias Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (January 15, 2014, 3:54 PM EST) -- The Second Circuit refused Tuesday to revive a sexual orientation and disability discrimination suit brought by a former London-based managing director at Bloomberg LP's television division, ruling that a forum selection clause in his employment contract blocked his claims in the U.S.

Affirming a New York district court's judgment, the appeals court decided Brian Anthony Martinez, who lives in New York but worked in the media company's London office, agreed to contractual terms under which employment-related disputes would be resolved in the U.K. instead of the U.S....
