Lloyd's Suit Over Michael Jackson Death Claim Settled

Law360, New York (January 15, 2014, 6:48 PM EST) -- Lloyd’s of London and Michael Jackson’s estate have settled the insurer’s suit over the alleged failure to disclose Jackson’s drug addiction on an application for a $17.5 million policy covering London concerts that were canceled after the pop icon’s death, according to a Wednesday news report.

Attorneys for both parties told a Los Angeles Superior Court judge on Wednesday they have reached a confidential settlement, The Associated Press reported. Counsel for Lloyd’s and Jackson’s estate did not immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday.
