KKR Puts Up $100M For Stake In Helicopter Leasing Co.

Law360, New York (January 16, 2014, 3:45 PM EST) -- A KKR & Co. LP unit agreed Thursday to invest over $100 million in a helicopter leasing unit of global conglomerate Libra Group, the latest effort by the New York-based private equity firm to expand its holdings in the oil and gas transportation sector.

KKR Financial Holdings LLC, a specialty finance company operating under the KKR umbrella, will receive a minority stake in LCI Helicopters Ltd.'s common equity. Teneo Capital and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC acted as financial advisers.
