Gov't Must Produce Medicare Docs In Aegis FCA Suit

Law360, New York (January 16, 2014, 5:55 PM EST) -- A Georgia federal judge on Thursday ordered the government to hand over internal documents to Aegis Therapies Inc. and a related rehabilitation therapy company in the government’s whistleblower suit alleging they overbilled Medicare for speech therapy services.

Following a hearing in early January, U.S. District Judge James E. Graham granted Aegis and Beverly Health & Rehab Center-Jesup’s motion to compel, and ordered the the government to produce the internal governmental documents regarding its interpretation of Medicare regulations in the next 30 days.
